Assistant Principal Blair's Corner

Greetings Pirate Nation! I am honored to be joining the Swansboro High community this year as one of your assistant principals. I am originally from Cary, NC and attended NC State for my undergraduate degree as a member of the Teaching Fellows program.  I then spent 7 years teaching 6th and 7th grade social studies in Johnston and Cumberland County while also helping coach football, basketball, baseball, and softball. While teaching, I also earned my masters degree in School Administration from NC State as a member of the NC Principal Fellows program. In 2021, my family moved to Jacksonville, and I began my administrative career in Onslow County at Dixon High.

My wife and I have two boys, the oldest one will be starting 2nd grade this year; and one very energetic Australian Shepard. In our spare time you can find us cheering on the Wolfpack and Carolina Hurricanes and spending time camping or relaxing at the beach.
