Principal's Corner
It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the principal of Swansboro High School. This is my ninth year serving as principal at Swansboro High School.
My educational background includes an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, a Master of Arts in Counseling from Argosy University, a Master Certificate in School Counseling from East Carolina University, a Master of School Administration, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
My professional career has been dedicated to serving the students, families, and staff of Onslow County Schools. I have served as principal of Swansboro High School since July 2018 and am proud to begin my ninth year leading this outstanding school. Prior to joining Swansboro High, I served as principal of Swansboro Middle School (2016–2018), principal of Carolina Forest International Elementary School (2009–2016), assistant principal at Bell Fork Elementary School (2005–2006), and school counselor at Southwest Middle School (2002–2005). From 2006–2009, I also had the privilege of serving as Director of Army Community Services in the Netherlands.
My husband and I are the proud parents of four children and four grandchildren. We love eastern North Carolina and feel truly blessed to call the Swansboro community home. It is an honor to serve this community, and I look forward to partnering with our students, families, staff, and community members as we continue to build upon the proud tradition of excellence at Swansboro High School.
